(Stuart, IA) – Officials with the Stuart Police Department have announced that a man from West Des Moines was found guilty of Robbery in the 2nd Degree, Wednesday (May 6, 2026). 33-year-old Kevin Christopher Krouse, Jr.’s charges stem from the February 4, 2026 robbery of the Subway restaurant in Stuart. Krouse will be sentenced at a later date.
During the robbery, Krouse threatened a juvenile female employee and demanded money from the business before fleeing the area. Following a multi-agency investigation, Krouse was quickly identified, located, and arrested by Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies during a traffic stop on Interstate 80.
