(Radio Iowa) – One person died in a house fire in Webster City on Thursday morning. Fire trucks and personnel responded to the fire and found smoke and flames were coming from the front door of the home. A search crew and fire fighters searched for the individual under intense heat.
The victim was removed and was taken to a hospital in Webster City where the victim was pronounced dead due to smoke inhalation and burns. The name of the person was not released. The fire was confined to the main family room with an undetermined cause.
