Democratic U-S Senate candidate Josh Turek started his final push across the state last (Thursday) night with a rally in Mason City. Republicans are outspending Democrats in the race and Turek told the crowd it’s a signal Republicans are worried of losing this seat and losing control of the U-S Senate.
The seat is currently held by Republican Senator Joni Ernst, who is not seeking reelection. Turek’s Republican opponent is Congresswoman Ashley Hinson. Turek says the country is worse off due to the votes Hinson has taken in the U.S. House.
Turek says Hinson should have supported efforts in the U-S House to end the war in Iran and stop President Trump’s tariffs.
Turek’s appearance in Mason City came a day after Hinson met with supporters in Mason City on the first stop of a statewide bus tour.
