(UPDATED w/names) – Fatal crash involving a motorcycle, Sunday night, in eastern IA

(Black Hawk County, IA) – One person died Sunday night in an eastern Iowa crash that involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck. An in update posted Monday afternoon, the Iowa State Patrol said the motorcyclist, 58-year-old Jeffrey Scott Millen, of Cedar Falls died in the crash that occurred at around 9:20 p.m. Sunday, in Waterloo. The driver of the pickup, 20-year-old John Paul Lenz, of White Deer, TX, was not injured.

Authorities had previously stated a 2020 BMW motorcycle and a a 2020 Ford truck were traveling north on U-S Highway 218 in Waterloo, when the motorcycle hit the rear of the truck. The accident happened at around 9:20 p.m.

The accident remains under investigation.
