(Keokuk County, IA) – The Iowa State Patrol has identified the victims of a crash that occurred Sunday morning, in Keokuk County. The crash claimed the life of 20-year-old Caleb Eugene Schultz, of New Sharon, and resulted in injuries to 18-year-old-year-old Maddasen Azelia Morris, of Marion, 19-year-old Jenna Marie Follman, of Sigourney, and 24-year-old Tegon Anthony Fogle, of Packwood. The accident west of What Cheer, happened at around 1:05-a.m.
According to the report, a Cadillac SUV driven by Schultz was traveling westbound in the 10,000-clock of 170th Street, when the vehicle left the road and struck a power pole. The SUV then rolled multiple times before coming to rest in the southbound ditch.
None of the crash victims were wearing their seat belts. Schultz died at the scene. The others were transported to a hospital. The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office, What Cheer Fire and other agencies.
