(UPDATE) Arrest warrants issued in Council Bluffs shooting incident

(Council Bluffs, IA) – Authorities in Council Bluffs this (Tuesday) afternoon said arrest warrants were issued for two suspects allegedly involved in a shooting incident that occurred Monday night. A warrant was issued for 19-year-old Jeremiah James Lassissi, of Council Bluffs, who faces charges that include: one (1) count of Attempted Murder; three (3) counts of Robbery in the 1st Degree, and one (1) count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

An additional warrant was issued for 20-year-old Trent Hastings, of Council Bluffs, for: one (1) count of Attempted Murder; three (3) counts of Robbery in the 1st Degree. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

(Council Bluffs, IA) – The Council Bluffs Police Department is asking for the public’s help in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at around 9:25-p.m., Monday. A press release stated Officers with the CBPD and CBFD Medics were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Damon St for a shooting.

Upon arrival, Officers located one juvenile male with a gunshot wound to the leg. The juvenile male was transported by CBFD Medics to a local hospital and later transferred to Children’s Hospital in Omaha. The injury is not believed to be life-threatening. At this time, no victim or suspect information is being released as Council Bluffs Police Department Criminal Investigations Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation.

As of this time, no suspect(s) are in custody. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. The Council Bluffs Police Department is seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any surveillance video evidence.
