Trump endorses Lahn’s bid for governor in Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa — President Donald Trump posyed on social media, Friday, his endorsement of Iowa Republican Zach Lahn, in Lahn’s campaign bid to become the State’s next governor. Lahn is running against State Auditor Rob Sand, who is the Democratic nominee for governor. Lahn said he was thankful to have Trump’s endorsement.

Trump endorsed one of Lahn’s opponents, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra, four days before the primary election. Feenstra narrowly lost the race to Lahn. When asked Friday night what the value of an endorsement from Trump, a Republican, for Lahn, Iowa Republicans’ nominee for governor, Lahn said, “Donald Trump has won Iowa a number of times, and I look forward to working with him to win again.
