A Sioux City woman is being held without bond on a first-degree murder charge for allegedly shooting a man to death in rural Plymouth County. Woody Gottburg reports.
(as said) – Court documents say 35-year-old Ashley Ruhland had been staying with Justin Emmick at his acreage. The were outside at a remote corner of the acreage target shooting when she allegedly shot Emmick twice. Ruhland called 9-1-1 and reported she shot Emmick in self defense and that she had a protective order against him.
