(Clarinda, IA) – The Page County Attorney’s Office has issued a report on case outcomes in Page County District Court, for the week of May 4th, 2026. According to Attorney James L. Varley:
27-year-old Devonci Combs, of Council Bluffs, pled guilty to Operating While Intoxicated/1st Offense. He defendant was sentenced to 60-days of incarceration, with 53 of those days suspended. Combs was also placed on probation for a period of one-year. Combs was ordered to obtain a drug/alcohol evaluation and attend and successfully complete the drinking driver’s school. He was also ordered to pay a fine, and court-related costs.
27-year-old Gurardo Garcia Gutierrez, also of Council Bluffs, appeared pro se in Page County District Court, and pled guilty to Driving While License Denied or Revoked. He was sentenced to six-days of incarceration and fined $430. The fine was suspended and Gutierrez was ordered to pay court costs and surcharges.
And, 64-year-old Jeffrey R. Pape, of Emerson, appeared with counsel and admitted to violating the terms and conditions of probation. He was found to be in willful contempt of court and sentenced to 10 days in the Page County Jail. Pape was unsuccessfully discharged from probation.
