Page County Attorney’s report for the week of April 27, 2026

Page County Attorney, James L. Varley, reports the following activities in the Iowa District Court for Page County for the week of April 27, 2026. The Honorable Richard H. Davidson, District Court Judge of the Fourth Judicial District presided. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Richard Lance Adkisson, age 60, New Market, Iowa, appeared by counsel and pled guilty to Driving While Barred. The defendant was sentenced to 10 days in the Page County Jail and fined $855. Defendant was ordered to pay court costs, surcharges and court-appointed attorney fees.

Jason Darrell Scott Dow, age 27, Burlington Junction, Missouri, appeared by counsel and pled guilty to Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense. The defendant was sentenced to 2 days of incarceration and allowed to serve those 2 days by successfully completing the Second Chances/Weekender Program. Defendant was placed on probation for 1 year and ordered to complete a substance abuse evaluation and follow the recommendations. A fine of $1,250 was imposed and defendant was ordered to pay court costs, surcharges and court-appointed attorney fees.

Klinton Paul Forristall, age 33, Council Bluffs, Iowa, appeared by counsel and pled guilty to Operating While Intoxicated-1st Offense. The defendant was sentenced to 2 days in the Page County Jail and was given credit for time served for completing the OWI Hotel Program. A fine of $1,250 was imposed and defendant was ordered to pay court costs, surcharges and court-appointed attorney fees.

Kelsey Sue Huffman, age 29, Peru, Nebraska, appeared by counsel and pled guilty to Operating While Intoxicated- 1st Offense. Defendant was sentenced to 60 days in the Page County Jail, with all but 2 days suspended, with credit for time previously served. Defendant was ordered to pay a fine of $1,250, plus surcharges and restitution. Defendant was placed on probation for 1 year and ordered to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and complete the 12-hour drinking driver’s course.

Bryson Sean McAlpin, age 32, Des Moines, Iowa, appeared by counsel and admitted to violating the terms of his probation. In lieu of revoking probation, the defendant was found in contempt and sentenced to 5 days in the Page County Jail. Defendant was ordered to continue on probation.

Carlton Gregory Rahn, age 27, Clarinda, Iowa, appeared by counsel and pled guilty to Operating While Under the Influence-1st Offense. The defendant was granted a deferred judgment and placed on probation for 1 year. Defendant was ordered to complete a 12-hour drinking driver’s course and obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow any treatment recommendations. A fine of $1,250 was imposed and defendant was ordered to pay court costs, surcharges and court-appointed attorney fees.
