CLAYTON COUNTY, Iowa – A man operating a motorcycle was injured when his cycle crashed Thursday afternoon in northeast Iowa. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash took place on Grandview Road, east of Grandview Lane in Clayton County, at around 3:46 p.m.
Authorities say 48-year-old Chip James Schuldt, of Strawberry Point, was traveling northwest when he lost control of his 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle, while navigating a left curve on the road. The motorcycle entered the north ditch, where it and Schuldt came to rest.
Schuldt was transported by Elkader Ambulance to MercyOne/Elkader, to be treated his injuries. The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office and Elkader/Garber First Responders assisted at the scene.
