(Radio Iowa) -Morningside University in Sioux City hosted a groundbreaking today (Thursday) for the future home of their school of business. President Chad Benson says the building will provide a modern state-of-the-art space for the business school.
“This is one of these buildings and one of these resources that I think is going to provide a tremendous opportunity for our students to grow, collaborate, work together,” he says. The business school is currently in the Lincoln Center that opened in the 1970s and he says it is at capacity.
“We had 375 students in our Business School, so we’ve well outgrown the Lincoln Center and this is going to open the door for us to do a lot of interesting and amazing things for those students with over 40-thousand square feet,” Benson says. It will be called the Rosen School of Business after major donor Tom Rosen. President Benson says they hope to be in the new facility by January of 2028.
