Men from Elliott & Red Oak arrested on separate charges, Tuesday evening

(Red Oak, IA) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports two men were arrested on separate charges this (Tuesday) evening. At around 5:12-p.m., Deputies arrested 41-year-old Cory Smith, of Elliott, on an active Montgomery County warrant for Driving While Barred. Smith was being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

And, Montgomery County Deputies served 40-year-old Anthony Wasson, of Red Oak, with a No Contact Order at around 12:55-p.m. Approximately 4-hours later, at around 4:47-p.m., Wasson allegedly attempted to contact the protected party via text message.

Wasson was arrested at around 6:20-p.m. for Violation of a No Contact Order – a simple misdemeanor. He was being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $300 bond.
