(Worth County, IA) – A motorcycle accident Thursday evening in northern Iowa resulted in serious injuries. The Iowa State Patrol reports the accident happened at around 7:15-p.m. on Highway 9, near the intersection of Worth County Road A45, west of Hanlontown.
The motorcycle operated by 42-year-old Jeffery Collins, of Mason City, was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed, when it failed to negotiate a curve in the road. When the cycle entered the north ditch, Collins was ejected from the machine. He was transported by Forest City Ambulance to MercyOne Medical Center in Mason City.
