Man arrested in connection w/Shelby County Endangered/missing child case is released after charges were dropped

OMAHA, Neb. — Sheriff’s officials in Shelby County say a felony kidnapping charge against a man accused in and Endangered/missing child case, has been dropped. 51-year-old Garry McBreen was arrested Sunday in Omaha, after he and the eight-year old child were located by Omaha Police and the Nebraska State Patrol, at a fast food restaurant.

Shelby County Sheriff Neil Gross told KETV in Omaha, that in light of new information, Shelby County will no longer be pursuing charges. McBreen was released from custody prior to his appearance Tuesday morning (June 2nd) in Douglas County, NE., Court.
