(Glenwood, IA) – Sheriff’s officials in Mills County report a woman was arrested Sunday, following an investigation into a missing 15-year-old female. The teen was later located and returned to her family. The suspect in the teen’s disappearance was identified as 41-year-old Crystal Edison, of Malvern.
From the ongoing investigation it was discovered that Edison had intentionally transported, hidden, and aided the juvenile in not returning home against the wishes of the parent, guardian, or custodian. Edison knowingly and unlawfully hindered the active investigation and recovery of the missing juvenile.
Edison was arrested and charged with Violating Iowa Codes:
- 710.4 Kidnapping 3rd degree – C Felony
- 710.8 Harboring a runaway – Aggravated Misdemeanor
