(Walnut, IA) – Officials in Walnut have announced some unfortunate news: the Walnut Splash Pad will remain closed this summer. The City of Walnut – they said – has been working tirelessly on the town’s water plant, and due to some upcoming projects to replace the current water plant, need to conserve water this summer.
Also, the fire department will NOT be able to fill any private pools this summer after June 1st.
The City apologizes for any inconvenience, but encourage you to take advantage of the Avoca Pool or Atlantic Splash Pad this summer!
