(Lewis, IA) – The Cass County Conservation Board is holding a“Movie in the Park” Campground Program this coming Friday, May 22nd. They will be showing “Apollo 13,” staring Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton and Kevin Bacon.
The public program will be held at the Campground Shelter at Cold Springs Park in Lewis, IA on Friday May 22nd 2026 at 9:00 pm, FREE of charge! America 250: Celebrating American Ingenuity – Apollo 13 Under the Stars.
This Hollywood drama is based on the events of the Apollo 13 lunar mission, astronauts Jim Lovell, Fred Haise
and Jack Swigert.
The trio find everything going according to plan after leaving Earth’s orbit, but run into problems before they can complete their mission to the moon. Come out for a great movie under the stars! Bring a blanket or chair, Dress for the weather, if it rains, the movie may be rescheduled. You DO NOT have to be a registered camper to attend the program.
