The Mobile Food Pantry will return to Cass County on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, providing free food assistance to individuals and families in Atlantic and Massena. With the holiday season approaching, these distributions offer an opportunity for community members to access nutritious food and help stretch their household grocery budgets.
Distributions will be held at the following locations and times:
- Atlantic: Cass County Fairgrounds, 1000 Fair Ave., Atlantic, IA 50022 | 4:00–6:00 p.m.
- Massena: East side of Massena City Park, 500 5th St., Massena, IA 50853 | 4:30–5:00 p.m.
Community members are invited to attend and receive fresh and shelf-stable food items at no cost. The Mobile Food Pantry is designed to reduce barriers to food access while supporting individuals and families in meeting their nutritional needs.
As part of the distribution process, attendees will be asked to complete a brief intake form. This information is collected by the Food Bank for the Heartland to better understand community needs and improve services. There are no income requirements to participate, and providing intake information will not prevent anyone from receiving food. Once a household completes the initial intake at any participating location, future visits will be much quicker, as attendees will only need to provide their name to check in.
Whether attending for the first time or returning, all community members are welcome. The Mobile Food Pantry strives to create a friendly, supportive environment where neighbors can access the food and resources they need.
Community members are encouraged to follow the Cass County Local Food Policy Council Facebook page for updates on future distribution dates, locations, and other local food access initiatives.
