Mobile Food Pantry Returns April 8 to Support Local Families

Cass County, IA — The next Mobile Food Pantry will take place on Wednesday, April 8, continuing efforts to provide accessible, nutritious food to community members across the county.

Distributions will be held at the following locations and times:

  • Atlantic: Cass County Fairgrounds, 1000 Fair Ave., Atlantic, IA 50022 | 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
  • Massena: East side of Massena City Park, 500 5th St., Massena, IA 50853 | 4:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Community members are invited to attend and receive fresh and shelf-stable food items at no cost. The Mobile Food Pantry is designed to reduce barriers to food access while supporting individuals and families in meeting their nutritional needs.

As part of the distribution process, attendees will be asked to complete a brief intake form. This information is collected by The Food Bank for the Heartland to better understand community needs and improve services. Providing this information will not prevent anyone from receiving food, and there are no income requirements to participate. Once a household completes the initial intake at any participating location, future visits will be much quicker—neighbors will only need to state their name to be checked in at their respective pantry.

Whether you are visiting for the first time or returning, all are welcome. The Mobile Food Pantry strives to create a friendly, supportive environment for everyone in the community.
