Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig made a stop at Atlantic Locker Friday afternoon.
Naig was touting the Butchery Innovation Grant program.
Naig was asked what people having been talking to him about as he travels the state.
The cost of diesel fuel directly affects every aspect of agriculture and Naig says Iowans are paying attention.
As for the harvest, Naig says the extreme weather swings in the last month may have an impact on yields.
Naig is trying to win re-election and is facing Democrat Chris Jones in November.
