The Guthrie Co Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle accident on September 18, 2026 at approximately 12:17 pm. The accident happened at the intersection of Justice Road and 130th Street south of Bayard. One fatality reported and a second person was transported to the Guthrie Co Hospital.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Bayard Fire Department, Bagley Fire Department, Panora Ambulance, EMA, Bayard First Responders and the Iowa State Patrol.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident. The accident report will be posted on the Iowa State Patrol Crash Website when completed.
The Guthrie Co Sheriff’s Office has no further information at this time.
