(Atlantic, IA) – Personnel from the Atlantic Police and Atlantic Fire Departments responded to the scene of a large garage fire early this (Friday) morning. The blaze at the Walnut Hill Terrace Apartments at 1304 E. 10th Street was reported at around 2:22-a.m. Arriving fire department units arriving on the scene confirmed the blaze was occurring and requested additional units to respond.
Crews hooked-up to a nearby hydrant off of 10th Street, and by 2:38-a.m., the flames were declared mostly knocked down. Additional details are currently not available.
