Forecast: Several stormy, soggy, sopping days ahead for Iowans

Iowa should be in for a wet week, as forecasters say some areas of the state may see up a half-foot of rainfall. National Weather Service meteorologist Alex Vorst (VORE-st) says the skies will be gray most — if not all — of the week ahead.

A flood watch is posted through Tuesday morning for 30 counties across southwest, central and northeast Iowa.

While we had unseasonable highs in the 90s earlier this month, the forecast calls for highs this week mostly in the 60s and 70s, though parts of southern Iowa may see a few days in the low 80s.
