Exira-EHK School Board actions from 5/11/26

(Elk Horn, IA) – The Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton School District’s Board of Education held their regular, monthly meeting Monday evening. According to the meeting minutes, during their session, the Board approved:

  • Expanding the girls basketball sharing agreement with Audubon for another four-years.
  • Memorandums Of Understanding (MOU’s) with:
    • Iowa Western Community College for concurrent enrollment
    • Family Connections.
  • A 28-E agreement with the City of Exira for the community weight room.
  • The Board approved the purchase of a 2026 Suburban from Bob Brown Chevrolet, and,
  • they approved the Math curriculum, as presented.

In other business, the Exira-EHK School Board agreed to move their June meeting to June 17th, at 6-p.m. And, they approved personnel changes, as follows:

  • The resignations of Christina Baggett – Special Education; Mikayla Stockhaus – Music, and Emily Harris – Teacher.

The also approved the hiring of:

  • Ashley Henneman – Part-time TAG Teacher/PT substitute teacher, and
  • Bethany Johnston – Elementary Custodian.
