Donations helping to cover Atlantic’s “Freedom Festival”

(Atlantic, IA) – The Atlantic Parks and Recreation Department today (Wednesday), announced recent donations in support of the City’s 2nd Annual “Freedom Festival,” which takes place July 5th from 5-until 9-p.m., at the Lower Sunnyside Park.

Parks and Rec Board member Ali Pieken says Gregg Young Chevrolet has donated to cover cost of face-painting and balloon artists for this years Freedom Festival making it free for the public. And, Rolling Hills Bank is helping to cover the cost of the fireworks show.

The event features live music by Dirt Road Divide, pony rides, face painting, a rock climbing wall, chicken wing eating contest, pickleball tournament, burger battle, spray foam, food trucks and MORE!! Event is 5 to 9pm with fireworks to follow at the ballfields.
