Wiota, IA) – A fundraising dinner for two local bank employees diagnosed with cancer just weeks apart, will take place Sunday, APRIL 12th, from 11-a.m. Until 2-p.m., at the Wiota Steakhouse, in Wiota. The event is in honor of Margie Young and Tianna Hansen, employees at First Whitney Bank and Trust in Atlantic.
Event organizers Misty Nelson and April Hansen say the news about two employees coming down with cancer. Misty said it was a shock for the families of Margie and Tianna, as well as the First Whitney family.
April said she and Misty brainstormed ideas on how they can help Margie and Tianna in the most expeditious way.
Wiota Steakhouse owner Brenda Williams, April said, didn’t hesitate to offer her establishment and food for the cause.
The menu features your choice of a roast beef or chicken dinner, complete with mashed potatoes & gravy, corn or green beans, coffee tea or water, plus dessert, all for just $20. Only cash or checks will be accepted for the meal. The event is dine-in or carry-out.

Carry-out orders may be picked-up on the north side of the restaurant, with line-up on Prospect Street, facing west. For every meal sold, $5 will be donated to the women to help with their cancer treatment.
Misty Nelson said it was important for the bank employees to step-up and show how close the employees are as a family, and will help each other out when the time comes.
First Whitney Bank employees will be working for tips, delivering meals and drinks to diners both inside and to drive-up guests, serving as hostesses and busing tables. Those tips will go directly to the two women who are being treated for cancer.
Misty Nelson says she an April hope to see a great turn-out to help the local ladies in their battle against cancer.
