Cass County Supervisors receive Secondary Roads & Weed Commissioner updates

(Atlantic, IA) – The Cass County Board of Supervisors, during their regular meeting, Tuesday, May 19th, received a Secondary Roads Department Maintenance report from Maintenance Superintendent Mark Knudsen. He addressed first, the availability of road rock in the County.

He said crews are getting started on cleaning-up some of the road sides, and spoke about some other projects.

Also speaking during the meeting, was Cass County Weed Commissioner Dennis Vogl, who reminded county residents about the Cass County Noxious Weed and Invasive Species Ordinance.

Vogl said so far, land owners are doing their part in controlling the weeds, and there have been no complaints from the public. In other business, the Cass County Board of Supervisors, Tuesday, passed a resolution authorizing the transfer of camping fees from General Basic to Conservation, and they approved a Cost Advisory Services, Inc. contract for FY26-28.
