Cass County Sheriff’s report, 6/12/26

(Atlantic, IA) – The Cass County (IA) Sheriff’s Office has released a report on four arrests that occurred between May 29th and June 12th.

On Wednesday, June 10th, Deputies in Cass County arrested 40-year-old Jeremy Allan Crecelius, of Wiota, on the charges that include Disorderly Conduct-Fight/Violence, and Interference with Official Acts. Crecelius was transported to the Cass County Jail where he was booked and held.

On June 5th, 45-year-old Aaron Lee Latus, of Massena, was arrested on a Cass County Sheriff’s Office warrant for two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance – 3rd or Subsequent Offense. During the arrest, Latus was also charged with two additional counts of Possession of Controlled Substance – 3rd or Subsequent Offense, and Possession of Firearm/Offensive Weapon/Ammunition by a Felon. He was transported to the Cass County Jail where he was booked-in, and subsequently released on his own recognizance.

On June 4th, Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 18-year-old Shane Robert Seagler, of Atlantic, for OWI-1st Offense. Seagler was transported to the Cass County Jail where he was booked and released on his own recognizance.

And, on May 31st, 55-year-old Sores Soram, of Atlantic, was arrested for Driving While Barred. Soram was transported to the Cass County Jail where he was booked and released on his own recognizance.

 All criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in the court of law.
