(Ankeny, IA) – Cass County ISU Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator Katie Bateman was presented with an award this past week. Bateman won the 2026 Iowa Women in Agriculture “Winds of Change Up and Comer” award, which was presented August 6th at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny, during the 20th annual Iowa Women in Agriculture conference.
Bateman was surprised with the prestigious award, after being nominated by Deb Schuler and Judy Sandbothe along with some of her family and friends. The “Winds of Change Up and Comer” award is an annual honor presented by Iowa Women in Agriculture to recognize rising female leaders, innovators, and early-career role models making a notable impact in Iowa’s agricultural community.
