(Avoca, IA) – Officials with Regional Water have announced that the boil advisory for the eastern part of the system has been lifted effective immediately. This also means the boil advisory has been lifted for Exira water customers.
Regional Water received word from the lab this (Friday) morning that all required water quality samples have met DNR standards. The system is at Level GREEN, the lowest conservation level of its Emergency Water Conservation Plan.
This Boil Advisory began on April 13th after a break on the water main that serves areas 4 and 7, causing Tower 4 to empty. Repairs to the system have been completed and it has returned to normal operations.
