(Atlantic, IA) – An Atlantic woman has issued a statement to the media with regard to an accident involving her daughter. According to Judy Thompson, of Atlantic, who works for Fischer Photography, her daughter, Vickie Erickson is an an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at an Omaha hospital, following the accident that occurred June 1st near Walnut.
Vickie Erickson’s accident occurred on County Road M47. During the crash, family members say she suffered from broken bones in her back, her legs, her chest and her right arm. Erickson was said to have been driving to the hospital in Omaha, Neb.for a check up when she lost control at a curve, and her vehicle dropped 40 to 50 down a ditch. She was found by a passerby who called 911. The vehicle is said to be a total loss.
Family members wanted to get the word out to friends of Erickson, and cards may be sent to her at Judy Thompsons’ address: 506 East 18th Street, Atlantic, Iowa 50022. Family members are also looking for someone to help them set up a GoFundMe page for Erickson.
