Atlantic Police offering 5th & 6th grade boys a trip to Busch Stadium in St. Louis

(Atlantic, IA) – The Atlantic Trojans High School baseball team will travel to St. Louis June 28th, to take on the Clarinda Cardinals. The event will be held following the St. Louis Cardinals game versus the Miami Marlins, at Busch Stadium. Atlantic Police Chief Devin Hogue said the Atlantic P-D is offering an opportunity to give students a chance to see both games.

Chief Hogue says they’re looking to take eight 5th and 6th grade boys to St. Louis, with the transport leaving the afternoon of June 26th, have dinner when they arrive, check-in to the hotel and settle in for the night.

They’ll head back home on Monday, June 29th. He says the trip is a way of the Atlantic Police Department giving back to the community and sharing something special.

If your child would like to partake in the A-PD sponsored trip, see the form on the department’s Facebook page.

The trip (which is for the kids only) will be chaperoned by Chief Hogue, with special guest Atlantic Mayor Rob Clausen.

There is no cost for the kids. Chief Hogue said he would love to see boys who love to play baseball or love the sport, along for the ride and experience.
