(Coralville, IA) – The Atlantic Police Department, Wednesday night, received an award from the Iowa Police Chiefs Association for Community Policing – for communities under 10,000 in population. The award was presented during the IPCA’s Annual Conference at the Coralville Hyatt Regency and Conference Center. The Atlantic Police Department was represented at the ceremony by Reserve Office Bob McHugh, Assistant Police Chief Paul Wood, and Chief Devin Hogue.

In a statement on social media, the A-PD says “The recognition means a great deal to our department and strongly reflects what has always been at the heart of our agency—serving our community. We are incredibly grateful to all of the individuals, groups, organizations, and community members who continue to support our department and our commitment to giving back and being actively involved in the community we serve.”
They said also, “We are proud of this recognition and proud to serve the City of Atlantic”
