(Atlantic, IA) – Atlantic Police and Fire Department personnel along with Cass EMS responded to a report of smoke setting off a fire alarm in the building at the Walnut Hill Terrace Apartment (1300 E. 10th St.), early this (Sunday morning). The call went out at around 12:39-a.m.
Atlantic Police were first to arrive on the scene and discovered light smoke. They made entry into an apartment and found burned food created the smoke. The apartment was ventilated by Atlantic Fire department crews, and the scene was cleared less than 20-minutes later.
No injuries were reported.
