On Friday, October 23rd, the Atlantic FFA Officer team participated in Feed the Farmers with members of Elite Octane and Cass County Cattlemen. The Cass County Cattlemen cooked hamburgers, while FFA members prepared the sandwiches and put them in bags that included chips, an apple, a bottle of water, and homemade cookies.
The goal of the project was to give back to those who feed our community, country, and world. During the busy harvest season, many farmers tend to skip meals, snack throughout the day, or forget to eat a nutritious meal. The Atlantic FFA understands these struggles and wanted to provide a meal for the farmers.
FFA member Grant Petty said, “It was a fun experience and I enjoyed working with other FFA members and providing lunch for our area farmers. Thanks to Elite Ethanol for asking us to help. Fun fact, the ethanol plant is a lot busier than you think.”
