(Atlantic, IA) – The Atlantic Community School District’s Director of Finance/ School Board Secretary Lisa Jones is submitting her resignation to the Atlantic Community School District’s Board of Education. Jones tendered her resignation following her acceptance of a position as the Chief Financial Officer for the North Scott Community School District. She said the move to the eastern Iowa school district will give her a chance to be closer to her family.
Lisa Jones assume her new role with the North Scott Community School District on July 1st (2026). Her resignation from the Atlantic Community School District will be presented to the Board of Directors for approval at the May 13 board meeting.
Lisa Jones’ contract officially ends June 30th, but her last day on the job Atlantic will be June 18th.
