(Atlantic, IA) – John Lund, Administrator for the City of Atlantic, provided his regular report to the City Council, Wednesday evening, which included a wrap-up of the Fiscal Year, which ended June 30th.
He said they’re working also on the 14 reclassified City Funds, amounting to $1.8-million.
Lund said they are ready to roll into FY2027, and progress is being made on preparations for this Fall’s Collective Bargaining business. He also updated good news and bad news final numbers with regard to the Local Option Sales and Hotel-Motel Taxes.
Lund said part of the reason for the decrease in the hotel-motel tax may be related to two hotels – the A-Ford-O and Turkey Creek – which are no longer operating as “hotels,” even though they may have always been operating at capacity.
