(Atlantic, IA) – The Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors celebrated the grand opening of CLAAS Farmpoint with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, July 21, at its new location on Glacier Road in Atlantic. Chamber Ambassadors, community leaders, and CLAAS representatives gathered to celebrate the company’s investment in Atlantic and the opportunities it brings to the region’s agricultural community.
CLAAS Farmpoint’s arrival is the result of years of work by the Atlantic Community Development Corporation and local leaders committed to attracting new investment and quality jobs. The project also reflects the work of numerous local contractors and businesses that helped bring the new facility to life, including Akin Building Center – Atlantic, Brown Electric Co, Camblin Plumbing & Heating, Curtis’s Welding Services, Henningsen Const., Inc., Precision Concrete Services, Stamp Construction L.C., and Steinhoff Construction.
Their efforts brought a unique service model to Atlantic. Factory-trained technicians are dispatched directly to farms in fully equipped service trucks, performing diagnostics and repairs on-site whenever possible. Warranty work and larger repairs are completed at the Atlantic facility.

While CLAAS has served North American farmers for more than 40 years, the company continues to expand its footprint in Iowa. During the grand opening, Complex Manager Preston Huser shared the moment he knew Atlantic was the right fit. Within minutes of arriving for a site visit, he watched grain truck after grain truck heading to Elite Octane. Combined with Atlantic’s location just an hour from CLAAS’ North American headquarters and manufacturing facility in Omaha, it confirmed the community was exactly where the company wanted to invest.
Today, the Atlantic location serves as CLAAS Farmpoint’s flagship Iowa store and one of four regional locations serving Iowa and South Dakota, alongside Le Mars, Fort Dodge, and Mitchell, South Dakota. A regional warehouse in Le Mars supports parts distribution throughout the territory.
The Atlantic team currently includes customer account managers, parts specialists, and service technicians, with plans to add additional positions as the business continues to grow. Driven by the belief, “Less brick & mortar. More farm & field.”, CLAAS Farmpoint is investing in a service model built around farmers while creating new opportunities in Atlantic and the surrounding region.
