(Adair, IA) – The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Community School District Boards of Education met in a combined, regular session Wednesday evening, June 17th. Shared District Superintendent Josh Rasmussen said one thing the Board approved was facilities improvements at Adair-Casey.
Both District Boards approved their respective personnel matters, including…At Adair-Casey: The Resignations of Paraprofessionals Melissa DeWitt and Kiara Coston, as well as JH Football/Strength & Track coach Jacob Joliet; And at Guthrie Center, the Resignations of: Asst. Volleyball Coach Kelsey Eischeid; Jr. Class Sponsors Skie Shull and Christina Wilson, and, a Contract Recommendation for Jason Calhoun – Volunteer Softball Coach.

Both District Boards approved their Property Casualty Insurance renewals, along with their Storm Protection Funds (SPF) for 2026-27 School Year. Both Districts approved their respective Teacher’s Association Master Contracts, and Student Fees and Prices for 2026-27.
They also approved their Operational Sharing Agreements.
They approved as well, Chromebook (laptop computer) purchases, bread bids, the disposal of obsolete equipment, and Mr. Rasmussen’s contract and a Panora Fiber Agreement. Josh Rasmussen said the Boards also discussed this Summer’s RAGBRAI© event.
