(Greenfield, IA) – The Adair County Sheriff’s Office reports two arrests took place over the weekend.23-year-old Johnathan Scott Clarke, of Fontanelle – who was being held in the Adair County Jail – was charged with Violating a No Contact/Protective Order, following his alleged use of a jail issued phone to text a woman who has two protective orders in-place against Clarke. He remains held in the Adair County Jail without bond.
And, following a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle by the Iowa State Patrol on Interstate 80 in Adair County, Saturday night, 40-year-old Ortin H. Wisegarver III, of State Line, NV, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (PCS)/1st offense. When Wisegarver refused to give the Trooper consent to search the SUV he was driving, a State Patrol K9 alerted to a narcotic order coming from the vehicle and a probable search was conducted. During the search, a plastic baggy containing a white powdery substance was located. The substance field tested positive for cocaine. In the same baggy, was a plastic vial containing a marijuana cigarette.
Wisegarver posted a $1,000 bond on his Adair County charge, and later released to the authority of Cerro Gordo County Deputies. He was wanted on warrants from their county for Failure to Appear at his initial appearance, on charges that include: PCS-Marijuana/1st offense; Interference with Officials Acts; Possession of drug paraphernalia, and Speeding.
His bond on those and other charges was set at $2,200 altogether.
