JOINT FORCE HEADQUARTERS – DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa National Guard announces the continued return of Soldiers from deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, with 24 additional Soldiers now arriving back in the United States.

Due to the complexity of travel and redeployment logistics, these Soldiers are returning individually and traveling directly to their home of record rather than through a centralized welcome home ceremony.
While smaller in scale, each return represents a meaningful milestone as Iowa National Guard Soldiers reunite with their families and communities after serving overseas alongside coalition and regional partners to reduce the capabilities of ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
The Iowa National Guard remains proud to welcome home these Soldiers and recognizes the continued service of those still deployed in the Middle East by supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.
