Greenfield man arrested on a felony Sex Abuse warrant

(Greenfield, IA) – The Adair County Sheriff’s Department reports 36-year-old Zachary Ryan James, of Greenfield, was arrested last week on an Adair County felony warrant for Sexual Abuse in the 2nd Degree, and Invasion of Privacy. His arrest followed an investigation of alleged sexual abuse reported by a Greenfield family to an HHS worker, that involved a 15-year-old female. Zachary James was said to be the teens’ stepfather. The incidents allegedly took place when the girl was in the fourth through sixth grade, according to the juvenile’s statement to police.

James was being held in the Adair County Jail on a $125,000 cash-only bond, pending his initial court appearance, which is set to take place August 3rd.

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office reports also, 19-year-old Brandon Steve Molina-De Leon, of Des Moines, was arrested early Friday morning on Highway 92 at Trenton Avenue. He was charged with Driving While Barred and Speeding. Molina-De Leon was released later that same morning on a $2,000 cash-or-surety bond.
