DES MOINES— Governor Kim Reynolds, Tuesday, announced her appointment of David Ranscht as a district judge in Judicial District 5A, which includes Dallas, Guthrie, Jasper, Madison, Marion, and Warren counties.
Ranscht, of Ankeny, Iowa, is General Counsel for the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, and served as Assistant Attorney General in the Iowa Attorney General’s Office from 2016 to 2024. He received his undergraduate degree from Lawrence University and law degree from Drake University Law School.
Ranscht replaces the Hon. Brad McCall.
