(Radio Iowa) – The average price of a gallon of gas in the state has dropped 12 cents. The report from Triple-A says the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas dropped to three dollars, 66 cents in Iowa on the heels of the Iran peace agreement.
Gas prices are still up 66 cents compared to one year ago, but are 37 cents below the national average of four dollars and three cents.
Diesel prices in Iowa fell 13 cents as of Wednesday to four dollars, 74 cents. That is 42 cents lower than the national diesel fuel average.
