(Sidney, IA) – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reports a former Hamburg residence, 51-year-old Richard Dean Robinson, was arrested last week on numerous, felony sex-related charges. Robinson was arrested Thursday in Nebraska City, NE., on the following charges:
o Iowa Code § 726.2 Incest, Class D Felony
o Iowa Code § 709.8(1)(B) Lascivious Acts, Class A Felony
o Iowa Code § 709.8(1)(B) Lascivious Acts, Class C Felony
o Iowa Code § 709.4(1)(B)(2)(A) Sex Abuse 3rd Degree-Child Victim, Class C Felony
o Iowa Code § 709.4(1)(B)(2)(B) Sex Abused 3rd Degree Child Victim related by blood, Class C Felony
Robinson’s arrest was the result of a lengthy investigation into a reported sexual assault that occurred in Hamburg in February, 2026. During the course of the investigation, Fremont County investigators identified additional juvenile victims, with incidents allegedly dating back to January 2025.
Following his initial appearance, Robinson was booked-into in the Fremont County Jail and held on a $45,000 cash-only bond.
