Forest City, Larchwood win CAT grants

The Iowa Economic Development Authority has approved Community Attraction and Tourism (CAT) grants for projects in Forest City and Larchwood. I-E-D-A spokesperson Kanan (Cannon) Kappleman says the Friends of Bear Creek and Forest City were awarded approximately 700-thousand dollars to replace the clubhouse at Bear Creek Golf Course.

Kappleman says the project isn’t just for golfers.

Kappleman says. Larchwood is also getting funds for public gathering spot.

Kappleman says the project will cost a little more than four million dollars ($4.13) .
