(Jasper County, IA) – A man from Marion County died during a motorcycle accident this (Wednesday) morning, just of of Prairie City. The Iowa State Patrol says a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by 31-year-old Zachariah Paul Lewis Pollock, of Knoxville, was traveling east on Highway 163 at mile marker 23, when the machine left the road and struck a culvert. The accident happened at around 4:15-a.m.
The motorcycle overturned during the crash. Zachariah Pollock died at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
