(Council Bluffs, IA) – Officials with the Council Bluffs Police Department report one person died during a single-vehicle crash early this (Monday) morning. The accident happened just before 1-a.m. on Interstate 29 southbound, near mile marker 48.5.
Authorities say the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene by rescue personnel. Their name was not immediately released.
The crash remained under investigation by the Council Bluffs Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
