(Corning, IA) – Officials with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office report the Adams County Dispatch Center took a report of an explosion at the Industrial Park in Corning, at around 2:18 p.m., Wednesday (Aug, 12th).
Upon arrival, a witness stated that a transformer exploded in the power plant located along Highway 34. No injuries were reported during the explosion of the transformer.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by CHI Health in Corning, Adams County Ambulance, Taylor County Ambulance, and the Corning Fire Department. If you are without power through REC, please contact the REC.
